Turning Pages took over RSA House for a sold-out evening that felt like the literary equivalent of a slow martini. Set across the Dr. Cross Room and the Muse Bar, guests read, lingered, and talked books under the soft light of St. Eval candles (a gift from our friends in Cornwall). Cocktails flowed, pages turned, and for a few hours, London’s readers found themselves in very good company.

As part of this year’s Open House Festival, Turning Pages book club hosted a special gathering at Hammersmith Quaker Meeting House on Sunday 14th September, inviting readers to come together for an afternoon of peaceful reading and reflection in one of London’s most historic spiritual spaces.

In the height of summer, we spread out blankets and books under the trees at Regent’s Park. With sun, shade, and plenty of space to read and chat, it was a perfect reminder of how special it feels to carve out time for books together and how irresistible London feels in summer.

15.06.25

As the weather began to warm, we gathered on the Granary Green Steps to soak up the outdoors together with our books. Set against the buzz of King’s Cross and the calm of Regent’s Canal, it was the perfect blend of city energy and quiet reading. This sunny session captured everything we love about Turning Pages: simple, relaxed, and always better shared.

25.05.25

Our first partnership with a cafe - FWD coffee kindly offered us a space in one of their branches. We had our usual hour of reading and also swapped books for a section to get a taste of each others reading choices. The coffees were pouring and the chats flowing. Thank you FWD coffee for supporting us!

13.04.25

We took advantage of the sun in London and gathered outside the National Theatre on Southbank. Reading outdoors was so refreshing and when the wind picked up we headed into the BFI Southbank's bar/cafe for shelter and good chats.

16.03.25

Our next reading session was held at The Barbican. We settled in the spacious foyer and had our post read convos at the Barbican Kitchen. A perfect cultural hub for readers to connect.

16.02.25

The month of Feb we wanted to read at the Tate Modern in the Turbine Hall. It was our first public gathering and it was a huge success! After reading we migrated to the newly opened bar/cafe The Corner. Thank you to all those that joined and shared their book recommendations with us!
